The Crime Writer and other stories

The CWAP(3)

I have a new book out: The Crime Writer and other stories. There are four short stories, four novelettes, and two novellas. Nine are crime themed and one is a gory story – plenty for lovers of crime fiction to get their teeth into. It’s available as an ebook and as a paperback.

This is my seventeenth book and it’s the first one I’ve released as both an ebook and a paperback. There is a good reason for this. I’ve entered the book in a competition that Amazon is running called Amazon Storyteller. To be eligible to enter, the never before published books must be available in both ebook and physical book formats.

If you’d like to know more about why I’ve entered this competition see here. Oliver Tidy Amazon Storyteller

If you’d like an ebook copy of the book see here. Amazon UK (Price is only 99p until the Amazon competition closes then I’ll be putting it up to £1.99) or here Amazon US (Price is $1.24 for now.)

If you’d like a paperback copy of the book see here. Amazon UK Paperback (Price £7.99) Amazon US Paperback (Price $8.99)

It goes without saying that anyone who supports me in this receives my sincere gratitude. If you would go the extra mile and read the book and leave an honest review with Amazon before the competition ends on May 19th I’ll be even more grateful.

(These are contemporary crime stories. Expect to encounter some bad language and adult themes but nothing excessive or gratuitous. Rated 15.)

  2. Yippee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just downloaded it

I was sooooooooooooooooo disappointed yesterday to get the Doh message after getting so excited upon reading the first one.
I’ve been having terrible withdrawal problems over the last few months so I really need to go and get my Kindle now and start reading
Best of Luck with the competition If I was judging of course you’d win hands down.

    • Hi Denise,
Thanks very much for your support. I was so cross with myself yesterday for hitting the publish button.
I hope you enjoy the stories and thanks for your good wishes. 🙂

      Best wishes

  3. Well, it’ll be no surprise to anyone how highly I rate this man’s work. Yet another superb display of his range and ability.

  4. Yea great news, good luck I am sure you’ll do really well. I will 100% support you.
Now the hard part, I am pretty excited to see you have a paperback, I really want to buy one, but I really want to read the book soon, and that means Kindle!
I hope Canada Post is quick, I really fancy a paperback! That would be really neat.
    Good luck.

    • Hi Roz,
Thanks for your comment and for your ongoing support. Much appreciated.
Go for the Kindle edition would be my advice – those Createspace paperbacks are too expensive. 🙂 I’m not even sure I’m going to buy one. 🙂
I hope you enjoy the reads.
      Best wishes

      • Hey yes,

It’s all about the read! So thank you for your avivce to download the kindle version.

        I appreciate the advice!

Got to ask though, why wouldn’t you order your own book in paperback?

      • Hi Roz,
I probably will give in to curiosity and buy a copy. It’s not that I don’t want to see my book in print – I can imagine little in life that would thrill me more. It’s just that it won’t be the feeling I’d anticpate if it were properly published. Let’s face it anyone can write a book and press print these days. It’s just not special enough. I hope that makes sense.
        Best wishes
